Rick joined TRS in the role of Operations Manager in 2007 after 15 years serving in various operation management roles in the financial services industry. Rick got his start in turbine repair in 1984 at Preco Turbine Services working summers and holidays after high school and the first two years of college. Rick attended The University of North Texas where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree followed by a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1991. Through the years Rick has served as TRS’s Operations Manager, Project Manager, Director of Operations, Vice President, General Manager, and now President.
Matt Sokol – Director of Engineering

Matt joined TRS in 2019 and currently serves as the Director of Engineering. He has over 20 years of experience working in the gas turbine industry as both a repair engineer and an operations manager. Matt graduated from Texas A&M University in 2001 with a BS in Chemical Engineering and from MIT in 2002 with an MS in Chemical Engineering Practice. Matt appeared on Jeopardy in 2017!
Albert Moreno - Production Engineer

Albert has been involved with Engineering and Quality at TRS for 5 years working with various gas turbine components including Light industrial and heavy industrial components with a concentration in W501F Turbine Blade Rings and Interstage Seal Housing repairs. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (2009) and a Master of Science in Engineering Management (2021) from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Albert holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and is an assistant martial arts instructor in his spare time!

JD joined TRS in 2024 as a Quality Manager and Production Engineer. He comes to us with over 28 years of experience in the Power Generation Industry with broad knowledge of gas and steam turbine repairs. He spent over 20 years in operations and engineering at various organizations such as Preco, APG, Sermatech, and Sulzer. He graduated from Concordia University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Holds various certifications such as Six Sigma Lean Black Belt, Executive Management, and Level II NDT Inspector. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing and caring for his granddaughter.

Bricio joined the TRS team in 2013. He serves as a Technical Representative with over 10 years of experience working in turbine repair with an expertise in Air Seals, Compressor blade rings, and machining. Bricio attended Texas State Technical College (TSTC) and has been a machinist for 14 years. With his background in AUTO CAD, Machining, and skills with the water jet, he enjoys a challenging tool build.
Tad Izbinski - Engineer & Metallurgist

Tad joined TRS in early 2020 with TRS’s acquisition of American Aeromotive Components, where he served as GM and Head of Engineering. Tad brings significant Light Industrial and Aeroderivative turbine knowledge to the the TRS team, and his skills in metallurgy and new part manufacturing further strengthens TRS’s maintenance capabilities. Tad has an MS in Physical Metallurgy from Mining and Metallurgy Academy in Krakow, Poland.

Stacey is an accomplished financial professional with over twenty years of experience in financial reporting, analysis, new system implementations, financial consolidations, and process improvements. Prior to joining TRS Stacey’s primary experience lay in the energy sector, while her background started in manufacturing and construction. Stacey has held positions at TRS of Controller and then Director of Finance. Stacey enjoys challenges and provides leadership with daily operational issues as well as long-term team strategies. In her spare time, she enjoys fishing, boating, gardening, and small home improvement projects.

Sinuhe has been an integral part of the TRS team since 2007, joining straight out of high school. He began his journey as a shop helper, working under the guidance of the shop manager. Over the years, he honed his skills and expertise, eventually becoming a proficient welder. Sinuhe's dedication and hard work have been instrumental in the success of TRS's operations. Before joining TRS, Sinuhe's family had a deep connection to the industry, with his father starting his career at Preco in 1993. This family legacy underscores Sinuhe's passion for the field and his commitment to excellence. Outside of work, Sinuhe cherishes spending time with his two boys, highlighting his dedication to his family and career. He continues to be a valuable asset to the TRS team, embodying the company's values of dedication and skill.

She worked for 7 years in the Salt and Brine mining industry with 5 years of accounting experience as an accounts payable clerk and 2 years of solution mining experience as a production administrator. Elizabeth holds a bachelor’s degree in legal studies from Kaplan University. Charles brings 28 years of experience in the Power Generation Industry with broad knowledge of both gas and steam turbine technology. He began his career in the industry as a general mechanic with Preco Turbine Services. Over the years Charles has worked with GE, Sermatech, APG, and Genex. From his roots at Preco, and now today at TRS, Charles continues to rise up to any challenge put in front of him. He has hands-on experience on the inspection and repair of the many different OEM gas and steam units, has worked on and led field installations, and has proven to be a leader and great mentor in management roles throughout the years. Charlie is also an extremely talented knife maker and antiques restorer.

Kelly officially joined the team in 2022 but is no stranger to the organization. Both of her parents are former long-time team members who retired in 2018. Kelly has grown up in the industry and has maintained relationships and industry knowledge that is invaluable. Kelly is our primary Customer interfacing finance team member and Front Office Supervisor. Her goal is to provide ultimate customer service and humanity to TRS employees, customers, and suppliers. When not pouring her heart into TRS Kelly enjoys being a mom to her four children!!
